Lucky girl

Birthday cakes and pony rides you have always been the one that I could confide. 

Hand hugs and the smell of your makeup with morning goodbyes.

Being almost just as big a fan of BSB and loving to hear me sing even if it was the wrong key.

You taught me love that is beautiful and pure never anything I needed more. 

I look back at my childhood no it wasn't perfect but you did what you could. 

I don't think you understand really how much I love you I know I don't always show it like I should. 

We may have had some rough spots may have been dealt some bad cards but we always made it through. 

I can't even put into words the gratitude for you I have and all the bad attitudes I'm gonna have a million plus one sorrys to you to always give. 

From the very first moment I entered your world I know you gave me more love then anyone could ask for. 

I know no matter where life goes there is always you. 

The world can crumble but as long as you are here everything will be ok. 

You waited such a very a long time for me but I am so glad God placed me in your arms.

You are the prettiest lady inside and out in my eye no matter what anyone says and that is no lie.

I love you more and more each day and I pray the lord keeps you with me for many a many a days.

Blessed Christmas

This was truly a blessed Christmas this year. I knew it would be bittersweet but I am just glad there actually was lots of sweet with the bitter. Christmas started for me on Christmas eve eve ha. Went over to do family tradition with Mama and Daddy. Mama of course cooked an amazing meal that I ate way too much of had some yummy hot apple cider then I got some awesome gifts. Really happy with the point my life is. I get grown up type gifts like a kitchen island but yet I am still a kid got a paper jamz portable mic and amp! It's so awesome get to rock out whenever I want haha.

But then we got to our reading tradition of the Night before Christmas and the Christmas story out of the bible. I hold those special times so near to my heart.

Then I came home had a late night Christmas bath.

Then I woke up the next morning and was off to Brooke's family Christmas. Jane cooked some so yummy delicious food. Ate till I was bout to pop then we opened gifts. We all got some pretty awesome things. It was so nice to see the smiles so special to be with them all of our hearts were hurting cause two of the most important people to us was not with us. But sure talked about special past Christmas memories with them and gave each other special gifts that Larry or Memaw were on. I feel beyond blessed to be apart of that Brooke's family Christmas.

Bree and Brooke got me the last two gifts and the most special out of everything. It still brings a tear to my eye thinking of right when I opened these. Thank y'all so much. You have no idea how much those mean to me!

Then after that we went to dinner at Brooke's Uncle Terry and Aunt Allison's place and Allison the amazing cook that she is cook a outrageous meal! Sooo good and I always drink soooo much of that yummy punch!

Next morning woke up reeeeeally early and went to my Aunt Nancy's for the biggest Christmas breakfast and like I had been doing all weekend so far ate sooo much but it was sooo good. Then I went back to Oxford and went to Brooke's Granny's Christmas. It was really special being with them and I think it went a lot better then we thought for Granny is so strong and Pete even though he had his moment was strong too. We all could feel the missing spot of Larry but we knew he would not want us being too sad on Christmas so we carried on just for him. After that is was on the Brooke's Aunt to eat even more amazing food and just like before ate till I almost popped. Then we had done the draw name gifts so we got to enjoy family and open gifts. After that Brooke and I came home and I pretty much passed out from being so tired and sooo full haha.

After getting to play with all my goodies Brooke and I still had one more Christmas to do with my parents and Brooke and if I could even have any more room Mama cooked a traditional Christmas feast. Snack table of chex mix, sausage balls, homemade cheese ball, cookies. The meal was Turkey, Dressing, home made mac-n-cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, red stuff (Mama's amazing fruit jello stuff).
Then we opened Santa gifts. I got a french press coffee maker I have been wanting and it is amazing. Brooke was excited by all she got and Dad and Mama really loved their stuff and even my babies (the cats) loved their christmas goodies!

If you look in the middle of the tree that big star ornament is the last thing my Memaw got me. Early this year when she went to her favorite thing the county fair she got everyone Christmas gifts. It is so so so special to me now cause I got to get a Christmas gift from Memaw it's like she could send gifts from heaven. Means so much to me!!!

So all in all this was a bittersweet blessed Christmas. I am so thankful for all I got and all the special people I got to spend Christmas with.

EKA Christmas. My very best friends since forever Erin and Kelly we get together cook dinner and open presents and talk talk talk. We have been doing EKA Christmas for almost 10 years now. So so special to me. This year is going to really show us we are all grown up now cause we are having it at Erin's house. She is all married now and we are all grown. So crazy to think.

Probably my all time favorite thing to do is on Christmas Eve with my Mama and Daddy. We have been doing this since I was a baby. We read my pop up book of The night before Christmas that has Wilford Brimbley reading it on cassette tape (We can hardly open it cause it's like 25 years old and it survived our house fire so some of the pages are a little chard) Then Daddy reading from the family bible The Christmas Story. When I was a teenager I was like ok this is lame but now that I am older I am so happy we have kept up with this tradition!

I am so glad that I had a Mama that really loved Christmas and did everything she could to make it special for me. I still hold on to all the things I watched, listened, read, ate so many things I did at Christmas as a child to dear and will always be happy when Christmas time comes to do them all over again.

Can't believe Christmas is right around the corner. I wish everyone a very blessed Christmas!!!

 

Beautiful tattoo

So last night I got to see something so special done. I went with Brooke to see her get a tattoo. The most special  and beautiful tattoo I have ever seen. She had been wanting to get some kind of portrait tattoo of her Dad so last night she had her tattoo consultation with the awesome Lacie at Phoenix tattoo. She was supposed to get her tattoo earlier this year with someone else at another tattoo parlor but the person pretty much blew her off. She thankfully had a friend that told her about Lacie. After talking to her she had it set and she was so excited. She asked her when she wanted to get it done and before you know it she found out she had a cancellation that night and could do the tattoo that night. Brooke was a pro (would not expect anything less haha)  Didn't even flinch once during the 2 hour tattoo. But after it was done of course I welled up with tears she didn't she was just so happy to have her Daddy on her to be able to look at him always. But I couldn't help it. It was so beautiful and so special. I know Larry had a hand in all this telling her what the portrait should be and who should do it. It all just happened too perfectly. Brooke always has her Dad with her in her heart but now she can look down and see him with her always. Lacie did such an incredible job on the tattoo just breathtaking. I am soo happy for Brooke and know she is so beyond happy with it!
